Browser/Flash Games

Hi, I'm going to report a few action games I found to you today. We'll start with......

-Action Games

1. African Detroit Cop

Actually, I'm not sure what genre to give this game. You play as Eddie Murphy, a cop who isn't doing too well on his job and has to prove to his boss he has what it takes. You have to walk around town and help 2/4 situations..like a cop would. You can do this by holding down and clicking one of the icons in the bottom.

-Talk (The Mouth)
-Shoot (The Gun)
-Dance (The Star)

You have to observe the situation and click one of those actions that would handle the situation best. For example, talking to the gangster that threatens you will just get you killed. The best way to handle it is to shoot him. Now if you're a cop in real life, please do not handle any situation in this manner.

After you fix the situations you're going to have to fight something. That's all I'm going to say. Overall, it's a really short game, but I found it entertaining.

2. Bang! Heroes.

I'm not a huge fan of westerns, but this game is pretty fun. You can pick the male character, who moves quickly and has does a lot of damage but with a slow firing rate, or the female character, who moves somewhat slow, doesn't do too much damage but has a quick firing rate.

This game reminds me of those old side scrolling games where you fight enemies until you get to the boss and repeat.

Overall, pretty fun to me so far.

I'll be posting games as often as I can. I know two isn't much, but it'll add up as I go.

Until next time, I'll be looking both ways.

Milestones

Alright guys, I'm going for milestones here. Join me as I go for the following milestones:

500 Books read(Or 2,000 articles your pick)
100 Consecutive Push-ups
200 Consecutive Squats
200 Consecutive Sit-ups

What? I like improving myself. Here's a few sites to help you out.

Reading

My dad wants me to actually read two-thousand books, times 4 what I'm aiming for right now. Sounds kind of insane, but he said I can skim through to an extent. I'm trying to master the art of speed reading to help me reach this goal. I learned about it from here. It seems like a great way to speed up reading in general and I think it'd help me in life in general in a long run. I'm going to count up all the books I read(and can remember reading) and post them here, counting down to five-hundred.

Feel free to join me. I will update the list every time I read a book.

and no, I will not be reading Dr. Suess books. :(

Push-Ups

Pushups are great. They increase strength. They increase endurance. They increase confidence(unless being stronger and being in better shape makes you depressed or something). Best of all, you don't have to pay like 30 dollars a month to do them! You can do them in the comfort of your own home!

I found this site called hundredpushups.com. I always wanted to be able to do a lot of push-ups and so far their schedule seems pretty legit. They test you first by asking you to do as many push-ups as you can and then placing you on a schedule of push-ups that you must follow to eventually reach one-hundred consecutively.

If you want to follow your own program, go ahead, and let me know if you find it to be more successful than this one. I'm going to follow this one for now and post results and new highs as I go.

Like my book milestone, feel free to join me. I will post my current high in push-ups shortly and update it every time I can do 5 more than normal.

Squats

Squats are somewhat like the leg-version of push-ups, but your legs are naturally stronger than your arms(unless you walk on your hands or something) so you should be able to do more of there in my opinion.

To reach the squat milestone(200) I'll be using this site, twohundredsquats.com. Judging by the layout and design, I'll be assuming this was made by the same person who made the push-up website. It works the same way too, you are given an initial test to see which week you start at and be given a schedule to eventually reach two-hundred.

Again, I'll shortly be posting my current high and keep updating it.

Sit-ups

Sit-ups. Great exercise for that mid-area of your body. I've read that doing the variation where you put your feet under something is tough on your back and not reccomended. So I'll let this site, twohundredpushups.com(Surprised? Hahahaha.) tell you how.

I hate redundancy, but sometimes you have to just do it. This site is like the previous two sites where they give you an initial test and place you at a certain week and schedule to reach two-hundred sit-ups.

For the FOURTH time, I will shortly post my high in sit-ups and update you guys on any new highs or new variations when I see fit. If you want, you can follow along and do this with me and post your results in the comments.

Or you can laugh at me if I stay on a joke high for a long time(which WON'T happen by the way....).

aaaannnddd I'm out. Until next time folks! I'll be looking both ways!

Talk to Stranger! How..exciting...

Okay, I'm going to talk about this site called Omegle. It's simple. You talk to strangers. That's right. Strangers. When you get there you simply click 'Start Chatting' and you're paired one on one with a random stranger, probably from somewhere on the other side of the world.

And it's hilarious. Sometimes you'll meet some genuine people, but most of the time you're going to meet some pranksters.

I met someone on here telling me they were part of the FBI and that they were going to arrest me.
I also met someone who was a 'life salesman' who was willing to allow me to look at his wares. He also told me about the trick of 'kissing your pillow' when you feel lonely. Someday, I'll try this.

Anyway, I think the site is an interesting concept but with a concept like this, it's SCREAMING for trolls. Be sure to put any interesting conversations you have in the comments. Enjoy.

Introduction

Hi, this is my blog, Look Both Ways. No, this is a not a blog on child safety. No, I won't force traffic advice down your throat, and I won't make 'chicken crossed the road' jokes.

Before I go anywhere, I really do look both ways though. I like knowing my surroundings. I look both ways on the internet too. So I'm here to share things I find interesting on the internet. I might post games, random articles, a picture of a guy getting attacked by angry golfers, or a random blog rant.

You'll never know(Until I post it, that is.) .

Anyway, until next post, I end it here.
